Bayern Munich looked to have guaranteed themselves a place in the Champions League quarter-finals after they romped to a second 5-1 thrashing in successive seasons over the Gunners at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Carlo Ancelotti's side led through Arjen Robben's early goal, before Alexis Sanchez levelled for Arsenal after his initial penalty attempt was saved by Manuel Neuer.

It was a different, sorry story for the visitors after the break.
Robert Lewandowski rose high over Mustafi to put Bayern in the lead. The Pole turned provider when his backheel from a Xabi Alonso pass freed Thiago Alcantara brace to score from a one-on-one position.
Alcantara added the fourth when his shot following a scramble in the box from a corner kick was deflected off Granit Xhaka and into the net.
The fifth came from substitute Thomas Muller who capitalized on Arsenal's sloppy passing at the back to score a left footed shot.

In the other game played on the night, Real Madrid came from behind to secure a victory in their Champions League last-16 tie with Napoli with a 3-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Just eight minutes in, Insigne embarrassed goalkeeper Keylor Navas with a stunning first-time effort from distance after he spotted the goalie off his line.
Benzema had missed a clear chance inside the first minute but he made amends by leveling the scores with his 51st goal in the competition - one more than the previous best tally for a French player, set by Thierry Henry.
But Kroos' clever finish from a Cristiano Ronaldo cross and a thunderbolt from Casemiro effectively killed off the game in the second half.
The return of MMM after the suspension brought smiles to the faces of many Nigerians who had relied on this ponzi scheme for long. What many did not know was that their joy will be short-lived given the irregularities that accompanied the reactivation.
Screenshot of the young man who has cried out for help after his N3.6 million got stuck in MMM.
MMM is considered to be the most popular of the money-doubling schemes that Nigerians invest in now. Thousands of Nigerians saw it as an opportunity to improve their standard of living since the economic recession hit them hard.
The portal got opened a day earlier than the set date and the activities began with members providing and getting help. However, MMM returned with conditions that limited the activities of the members on the platform.
A young guy identified as Kingsley Uguchukwu on Facebook has cried out for help. The MMM participant claimed to have lost over N3Million to the popular MMM Ponzi scheme. The story he shared about his ordeal on Facebook will either make your heart reach out to him or mock him.
Check out what he wrote on his social media page when he could no longer hold on:
"I have been comporting myself and i think is high time to cry out for the word to hear my voice. i was supposed to be paid since on 21 of December but till now nothing has been done, ok the officials told me to provide help of at least 100k that once someone merged for me to pay that they will immediately assign people to pay me... ok i pledged to provide help of 100k since on Friday till now nothing has been done.
Now MMM is playing with my 3M that i made with sleepless night!!!!"
Having N3.6 million stuck in some place with this economic recession will drive any one mad with worry. MMM set some conditions when the portal was reopened at the beginning of the year.
Uguchukwu is running at a loss already since he was asked to pay in N100,000 to be able to get his money out. But as it is, no one understands what is going on anymore since the main money is yet to be paid.
Part of the set rules include paying members who do not have much money in the scheme first before paying those who invested largely in it.
The administrators felt people would have pull out as soon as they resume activity on the site and did this in order to avoid the rush. They predicted that people would want to pull out as soon as they reopened, hence, the restriction was placed.
Note that MMM had warned people to invest only with money that they can spare. This means that participants should only put in money they can let go of.

Glo 4G LTE service has received commendations from its subscribers around the country where it has coverage. A Surulere, Lagos-based fashion designer, Titilayo Lawal, said she ported from another network into Glo because she believed she was not getting commensurate value for the money she was spending on data bundles, and that her story changed the moment she joined Glo.
She described the Glo 4G service as “impressive,” adding “it is good. It is very fast no matter the amount of attachment you are sending. I love the service.”
The Fashion Designer observed that there were some desired locations where she spends considerable part of her time in that are yet to enjoy Glo 4G LTE service. She called on Globacom to extend the network to these locations as soon as possible.
The launch of Globacom’s 4G LTE service has generated wild interest across the country as many subscribers clamoured for the swift extension of the coveted service to more locations to enable them savour the advantages of the advanced network being enjoyed in other parts of the country.
Some of the subscribers said that although Globacom had more 4G LTE coverage areas in Nigeria than any other operator, they would still love to see the service extended to their respective home cities and villages.
In Abuja, a Bureau De Change operator based in Zone 4, Wuse, Abuja, Maniru Saminu described the Glo 4G LTE service as a breath of fresh air, especially in the area of fast internet connection. He said this has led him to abandon all earlier alternatives.
“I really appreciate Glo 4G service. It is very fast. I am enjoying the internet service, I do not experience delays doing streaming and downloads. I also do my internet banking transactions with ease,” said Saminu.
He said he was so impressed by the marked difference in quality of service that he encouraged his friends in the same business to subscribe to Glo 4G and quit complaining adding “I even gave my old Samsung S7 Edge phone to one of my friends to use and he has subscribed. The second person will soon subscribe. I want to urge Globacom to bring the service to Kano, my home state so we can enjoy it over there also.”
From Wuse 2, Abuja, another subscriber, Stephen Obembe, praised Globacom for implementing the 4G LTE services in Abuja. Obembe who ported to Globacom from another network noted: “It’s been great. Glo 4G has been good, very good. I use a lot of data for my business and I am really satisfied with the service. I am very happy I ported to the Glo network.”
Globacom said that customers who have upgraded to Glo 4G LTE network will not wish to use any other service again because of its superior quality.
“Glo LTE network is one of the very best you will find anywhere in the world. Apart from an expansive, nationwide state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure which our 4G LTE network is predicated on, it is also riding on the much sought-after spectrum band 28. This gives it a strong edge,” said the data masters through a press statement.
The company said it has an excellent wide area coverage and wider bandwidth availability, data capacity and higher performance.
“It also has much better indoor reception than other frequency bands because of unparalleled ability to penetrate building walls and similar obstacles”, the statement said.
It disclosed that the company is working diligently to take the service to more parts of the country, pleading with subscribers to exercise patience. The company said the network has been configured in such a way that subscribers will never be stranded even when they move out of Glo 4G LTE network coverage .
Two of South America’s most celebrated footballers, Juan Roman Riquelme and Ronaldinho are set to be reunited and join Chapecoense for six months, to help the Brazilian club rebuild after this week’s tragic air crash in Colombia, which all but wiped out the entire squad.
Reports from the continent, suggest that the two players will offer their services for free with the 38-year-old Riquelme explaining that; “My brother and my friends have asked me to do it so let’s see what happens”. 36-year-old Ronaldinho, who, despite having several offers from around the world, was preparing to hang up his boots, is ready to reconsider to help out the stricken club.
Offers of support have come flooding in from throughout the football world; PSG have reportedly pledged €40 million to help Chapecoense rebuild the team with more financial help set to be announced in the coming days.
In the meantime and despite the tragic circumstances surrounding it, fans may get one last chance to see legends of the game team up for one last hurrah .

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho hit back at claims over their tax arrangements on Friday with their agent declaring they had fully complied with British and Spanish fiscal requirements.
They have respected “fully their obligations regarding Spanish and British authorities,” read a statement for Gestifute, run by their agent Jorge Mendes.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, quoting documentation from the Football Leaks website, alleged Ronaldo had benefited from keeping assets in a tax haven.
The website said the footballer of the year favourite had used Irish-based Multisports & Image Management Limited to ramp down his tax burden below what he would have been subject to in Spain.
Gestifute complained it had faced “insidious,” “disrespectful” and “threatening” questioning from the media over its clients’ tax arrangements since last year’s Panama Papers scandal surfaced.
Gestifute said neither Ronaldo, nor his Portuguese compatriot and former Real coach Mourinho were “implicated in any judicial procedures”.
Gestifute added that last March “a number of societies linked to the world of football were the victims of cyber-attacks” which saw the leaking of documents published by Football Leaks “in several countries in Europe, notably Spain.”
The company noted they had taken legal redress against claims of tax evasion and stressed it had always acted with “the highest degree of professionalism in relations with (its) clients and authorities”.
