A man has appeared in court accused of strangling and dismembering PC Gordon Semple after meeting on gay dating website Grindr.
Italian-born Stefano Brizzi, 49, who appeared before the Old Bailey wearing aviator sunglasses today, will face trial in the autumn for the alleged murder of the 59-year-old officer.
He was taken before the Recorder of London, Nicholas Hilliard QC, at the Old Bailey to face a charge of murder, which is alleged to have happened at his flat in south London between April 1 and April 7
